The Corporate Director, Sales and Marketing Operations strategically oversees the Sales discipline for a collection of independent hotels within Sage Hotel Management. The goal is to maximize revenues through all channels, sales and marketing efforts which will ultimately provide the best possible return on investment for our owners and equity partners.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Exhibit leadership competencies that create vision, provide direction and drive the success of the company’s direct sales and marketing efforts far into the future for multiple properties.
• Lead strategic planning, development, and coordination of business initiatives and strategies for the division and organization.
• Oversee communication to customers related to the long-term vision and strategies and ensuring timely and proactive communications to all stakeholders.
• Facilitate the development of a strategic sales and marketing approach that follows a standardized process and effectively communicates strategy and revenue projections.
• Monitor and review property business plans and results on a monthly/quarterly basis, including making recommendations based on changing conditions and results.
• Provide strategic guidance for organized Food and Beverage revenues and sales operations.
• Evaluate, identify, and implement appropriate sales automation for hotel activity.
• Ensuring property and corporate systems and reports are effective (develop and maintain corporate roll up of all key sales measurements), proven sales office systems and procedures are in place at each hotel.
• Executing market studies as requested to support business development needs by preparing for and participating in internal/external client presentations/meetings/reports.
• Assist with forecasting, pace, market share and margin improvement to include the development of effective comprehensive metrics and reporting processes.
• Actively participated in Global Sales efforts, like key account visits or industry / trade show participation – in conjunction with Vice President and Corporate Director of Global Sales.
• Assist with preparation of the annual budget, forecast and identify opportunities to maximize market share and revenue.
• Coordinate the completion of group rooms, organized food and beverage, and meeting room rental goals to approve quarterly and annual goals and updates.
• Implement succession planning within each direct report to provide new opportunities as associates develop, to handle company-wide growth, and to mitigate risk if associates leave.
• Develop a process in which high potential sales and marketing candidates for future positions are identified and put in a pipeline for opportunities.
• Provide leadership oversight on special projects, transitions, and new property openings. Be well positioned to continue to transition further assets into the Sage portfolio.
• Ensure implementation of Sage SOP’s, sales and marketing systems and controls at all properties including transition properties.
• Participate and maintain active company and community relations while taking part in corporate activities and meetings.
• Represent yourself and the company with the highest level of integrity and professionalism at all times, including professional appearance, conduct and demeanor.
• Perform any other assignments as directed by the organization or leadership.

8 - 10 years of related experience in senior sales and marketing roles in a hospitality environment.
Field and corporate experience is preferred.
