The Coffee Shop Attendant is the foundation of the café. The Coffee Shop Attendant is responsible for honoring every customer by providing excellent customer service and a high-quality product. The Coffee Shop Attendant should be a true professional that always displays a positive attitude to ensure the return of our customers, who are the reason for our business.

• Maintains a highly visible appearance in the café during the entire shift by remaining at their station and periodically circulating through the café to remove garbage and maintain cleanliness, to respond to any customer requests and to assess the efficiency of the operation for management.
• Verifies accuracy of all items on guest checks by confirming correct pricing, discounts and method of payment.
• Ability to work all stations in coffee shop.
• Maintains a clean and attractive restaurant by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, table maintenance, general cleaning and side work duties.
• Check the proper set-up of tables and seating prior to opening.
• Service each guest comment/complaint according to procedure
• Set out all food and beverage items following all food safety regulations
• Replenish all food and beverage items during the meal period.
• Ensure all foods are kept at safe temperatures.
• Create and maintain a pleasant presentation.
• Take trash out to dumpster as needed.
• Assists in 1600 Club Lounge when busy and covers for breaks
• Checks, maintains, and restocks 1600 Club Lounge at the end of their shift
• Retrieve all glass and plate ware from hotel floors
• Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees.
• All other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
• Familiarize oneself with the area, i.e., social, cultural, historical and physical attractions.
Education/Formal Training
High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience
Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred.
