Job Overview

The Spa manger is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the spa and salon.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operation of spa areas.
  • Manage all scheduling for front desk staff, massage therapists, estheticians, salon staff, etc.
  • Oversee training of staff
  • Order retail and professional product as needed; manage a current inventory on all products
  • Create and aid in implementation of sales goals for staff
  • Fielding client concerns/comments as needed, and assisting with front desk as needed
  • Maintain communication with staff to ensure the smooth day to day operations of the spa
  • Maintain tight inventory
  • Maintain spa brochures and pricing
  • Conduct and organize regular training sessions for new procedure
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with other departments and senior management
  • Create and inspire a courteous, friendly, professional work environment; Manage positive team building

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in spa management is acceptable

 

Experience

3 or more years of experience preferred.

 

Knowledge/Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of spa operations to include health, fitness, wellness or related fields
  • Experience and skills in budgetary, projections, and cost control
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions, work on more than one task at a time, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work quickly and multi-task.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision making
  • Prolonged standing
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying. Bending/kneeling - must be able to accomplish any task required of associates within assigned departments.
  • Climbing up to approximately 40 steps 1% of 40-hour week.

Spa, hotel, and resort environment. Calm and relaxing atmosphere with relaxing background music.

USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
