Job Overview

The Marketing and Events Coordinator serves as the brand voice for Denver Union Station’s Captive F&B digital communication channels. Introduces new and creative ways to reach audiences, and creates digital marketing campaigns to include social and CMS. Begins the copywriting process for Union Station’s social media, newsletter, and website with review from the Director of Marketing. Aids in executing Marketing Events for Denver Union Station.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage social media for Terminal Bar, Press, Cooper Lounge, Pigtrain, Milkbox and Baumé. Assisting with social media for Denver Union Station as needed. For the main accounts under purview: creating content, production, posting and online conversations across the station’s social media channels including: Facebook, Instagram, X, Linkedin, Tik Tok, etc.
  • Attending meetings and interfacing with different restaurants to gather information and content.
  • Maintain brand voice and build engagement amongst various social channels.
  • Stay on top of social trends and engage new methods to capitalize on new marketing opportunities
  • Assist with updating the stations’ and other Sage entities’ websites by editing and creating new content
  • Manage holiday and area events calendar on property websites
  • Helping to execute Denver Union Station marketing events which can include helping to communicate with talent and entertainment – including some booking duties as needed
  • Being onsite as needed for marketing events
  • Denver Union Station newsletter management is a shared responsibility between the Marketing Coordinator and the Director of Marketing

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manages the Denver Union Station email inbox; act as customer service representative by responding to inquiries, customer complaints, social media feedback, etc.
  • Manages lighting and lighting requests of Union Station building
  • Monitors chatter across social media and digital PR outlets

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and skills in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or a related field preferred. 

 

Experience

One+ year(s) of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s). Some graphic design experience preferred. Previous event management experience a plus.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume creative environment.
  • Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing.
  • Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel and building locations to assist clients.
  • Requires sitting most of the time, but does entail walking, standing and carrying of up to 15 pounds short distances.
  • Requires a significant amount of repetitive motion for typing on a keyboard

General office and hotel environment. Working under fluorescent lighting.
