To act as an assistant to the server, by capably handling all guest needs while working as a cohesive team within the entire Urban Farmer Front of the House Staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the timely delivery of food and beverages, ensuring that plate and drink presentations along with food quality are of the highest standard possible.
Clear and reset tables in accordance with established standards in order to seat new customers as quickly as possible. Remove full tubs from bus stations to dishwashing area for cleaning, and maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly bus station at all times in order to improve efficiency and productivity.
Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware, and garnishes in the restaurant.
Retain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from the dish room and distribute to each service station in order to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use.
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
Respond appropriately to guest requests. Be empowered to deliver what the guest needs in a timely fashion and with impeccable communication to the server.
Knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant.
Comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
Assist other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel.
