At The Ben, West Palm Beach, every corner tells a story, inspired by the legacy of Byrd "Birdie" Dewey and her iconic Ben Trovato estate. That spirit of creativity, elegance, and individuality carries through everything we do, shaping a hospitality experience that feels Exactly Like Nothing Else. From our thoughtfully designed guest spaces to our distinctive dining experiences, every detail is crafted to create memorable moments.

At Proper Grit, our signature American steakhouse, bold flavors meet timeless hospitality. Inspired by the grit, determination, and pioneering spirit that helped shape South Florida, Proper Grit offers a refined yet approachable dining experience where exceptional cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and genuine service come together. Whether guests are joining us for a celebratory dinner, a business meal, or a casual evening at the bar, every visit should feel welcoming, elevated, and unforgettable.

As a Proper Grit Server, you are the face of that experience. You welcome every guest with confidence, professionalism, and authentic hospitality, guiding them through our menu with expert knowledge and thoughtful recommendations. From perfectly timing each course to anticipating guest needs before they're expressed, you create a dining experience that is polished, seamless, and personalized.

The Server role is about much more than taking orders and serving food. It's about building connections, delivering exceptional service with precision, and creating an atmosphere where guests feel valued from the moment they arrive until they leave. Every interaction is an opportunity to exceed expectations, whether you're recommending the perfect wine pairing, describing a chef's feature, or ensuring every detail of the meal is executed flawlessly. At Proper Grit, we believe that genuine hospitality is found in the details, and our servers play an essential role in bringing that philosophy to life.
