Little James isn't a hotel restaurant that happens to have a kitchen. It's a neighborhood spot that happens to live inside one of Savannah's local gems, The Ann Savannah. Locals come here on purpose. That changes how we cook.
Our kitchen is small enough that your work is visible every night. You'll touch real product, run your station like you own it, and see plates go out that you're proud of. The menu moves with the season and the Lowcountry, so you'll learn something new here, not just repeat the same ticket a thousand times.
We hire for attitude and train for skill, and we promote from within because that's how most of our leaders got here.
The Ann is part of Sage Hospitality Group, which means the perks of a bigger company without the feel of one: competitive pay, health benefits, paid time off, hotel and dining discounts across our properties, and a real path forward if you want one. Some of our best cooks became sous chefs. Some became chefs. A few went on to open their own places, and we still cheer for them.
If you love the craft, care about the person next to you, and want your cooking to mean something to the neighborhood, we'd like to meet you.
To ensure proper service from the front line through quality control, training of line cooks and ensure proper sanitation levels.
